Who We Are

Placeholder

We’re Jack and Lydia, psychotherapists and facilitators working with clients in high-pressure environments such as in senior military, corporate, health and education leadership.

We have real-world experience as leaders and founders, launching tech start-ups, countering terrorism, and supporting people in A&E wards and active war zones.

We understand pressure and how it affects even the most competent and experienced leaders, because we have lived it.

Using a groundbreaking clinical model called Internal Family Systems (IFS) alongside Central Nervous System Regulation, we’ve witnessed profound and long-lasting shifts in our clients.
A landmark research project by Google found the single most important factor behind successful teams is psychological safety. Not skills, not knowledge, not expertise - psychological safety.

You are already a leader in your field. You are already an expert in your field. We are experts in the psychology and the neuroscience of inner leadership, of communicating clearly and making data-driven decisions when under extreme pressure. We can help you to leverage psychological safety to create exceptionally high-performing teams.

Our Approach

Most leadership training focuses on changing behaviour, but in high-stress environments, it’s hardwired into out biology to revert back to unhelpful habits.

We don’t focus on behaviour, we focus on the internal processes that drive it so that you can deliver the best version of you, no matter the pressure.

High-performing teams start with self-led leaders.

“A part of me thinks...”

We do not have one singular mind.

Groundbreaking neuroscience research identifies that we have different parts, each with their own needs and perspectives.

Our approach allows leaders to stand back, regulate and listen to these different parts from a place of calm, compassion and curiosity.

How it Works

LEADING YOUR INTERNAL BOARDROOM UNDER PRESSURE

When your nervous system is dysregulated (think fight, flight or freeze as the extreme examples), it is contagious. As collectivist humans, we are hardwired to be sensitive to other people’s nervous systems, as historically that could mean the difference between life and death.

When you lead from self, your colleagues notice. You are calm, assertive, communicative, contextual, nuanced and charismatic. Panic is contagious, but so is the authoritative calm of a highly competent leader who is internally aligned.

Leading from self with a calm and regulated nervous system could be the difference between a catastrophic decision and a brilliant one.
